Now, I am a bit (no, a lot) behind in my Jill Shalvis reading, but All I Want can be read as a stand alone in the animal magnetism series.
You kind of know what you are going to get with a Jill Shalvis book. It's like a hug and conversation with your best friend. A lot of sweetness and laughter, and a bit of naughty.
And All I Want is no exception.
Zoe is happy in her life - mostly. She is a pilot in Sunshine, Idaho, loves her job, loves her brother and sister. But she is a little lonely, and really needs to get a little something-something.
Parker is her brother's friend - and her new housemate.
Their "relationship" gets off to a rather unusual start, and things just get better from there on.
You can feel the attraction between them, but there is this push/pull thing that they have going on. I adore their interactions. The banter is witty, funny and oh so sexy. Double entendr` anyone?
I just couldn't help smiling the whole time I was reading All I Want... a goofy smile that you just can't help when you are reading a good book.
I have to say though - Zoe's dog Oreo - mmmm Oreos - I swear that farting, loving, useless guarddog of hers is my own hound. Couldn't help but laugh out loud with things that the dog does.
Zoe and Parker drive each other a bit crazy at times, but you know that at the same time, they are feeling more and more for each other.
There is a bit of action too as Parker goes all Jason Bourne-y in his job.
I love that a Jill Shalvis book is always going to be angst-free. I have nothing against an angsty book, they are some of my favourites, but sometimes you just need a light fluffy read to get you through, and this is what All I Want is for me.
