ARC received from author for an honest review

This book 5 in the Ballybeg series, and although it could be read as a stand alone, you will want to read the whole series!

We have met Sergeant Sean Mackey throughout this series, and now we are finally getting his story.
After being a Garda in the big city, life for the Sergeant isn't the excitement he is used to.  Though the residents of Ballybeg *cough cough John-Joe and Buck cough cough* do keep up the amusement and nuisance factor for him.

The last thing he expects is his one night stand from the city to end up in his town... awkard!

Clio Havelin is great.  She is the daughter of a somewhat famous woman with the diva attitude to go with is.  And is so not like her mother!  She is down to earth, sexy, funny.

The attraction between Sean and Clio is there from the start and you can feel the pull between them, even when it is not great timing for either of them.

There is a bit of mystery and intrigue surrounding Clio and her mother, secrets being kept - and we all know how well that always turns out!

I felt that this installment of the series was less about small town Ballybeg than the others.  Sure we got to see more of our favourites from the rest of the series, but this time it felt a little more wide reaching, introducing us to some new characters, who I feel may play more of a part in the spin off Bad Boys of Ballybeg series?  But this may just be me and my wishful thinking

I have thoroughly enjoyed my times in Ballybeg, and look forward to continuing them in the Bad Boys series
