Slammed by Kelly Jamieson - Review

© Janeane

"He never saw love coming...until it crashed into him."

Warning: Check it, dude, this book contains a bad boy surfer who gets slammed by fierce waves but gets back up, a buttoned-up woman who learns to chillax, and some righteous shreddin' the gnarl.

Review: ARC received for honest review
Brooke has her dream job, working for clothing giant Jackson Cole.

18 months ago she convinced them to sponsor home town hero and pro surfer Dylan Schell for huge dollars.  They haven't been a great 18 months, and now Dylan is off the rails, making media headlines for all the wrong reasons - drugs, partying - often naked
Since she pushed for him to receive the sponsorhip, her sleazy boss has now flown her to Tahiti to bring him back home and to clean up his image.

Upon arriving in Tahiti, Brooke tracks him down in his bungalow, in a rather compromising position.

After interrupting his fun, Brooke finally gets Dylan to listen to why she is there and why he needs to return to his home town.

I loved cocky, smart arse Dylan.  Sexy, cheeky - naked!  What is not to love?

He leaned casually against the bar and guzzled down half the bottle of icy cold brew. Damn, that was good. “So what’s up, buttercup?” he said, lifting one eyebrow.

Her mouth tightened. “I really think this conversation is one you want to have with your clothes on.”

I loved cocky, smart arse Dylan.  Sexy, cheeky - naked!  What is not to love?

Neither Brooke nor Dylan are looking for a relationship, but can they ignore the mutual sexual attraction? You will need to read to find out!

I will tell you that there may be one of these

and perhaps some of this
and of course plenty of this
Brooke has a great family - worry wart mother, mama bear older sister - and boy does Fraya stick up for her little sister.

Dylan's relationship with his best friends Matt and Corey has been strained for the past year, and it plays a lot on Dylan's mind and affects his relationships.  Can he fix it and get his best friends back?

Kelly Jamieson has written a well rounded, enjoyable book.  I didn't want to put it down once I had started.

Slammed is book 3 in the San Amaro series, however I have not read the first two books, but this did not affect my enjoyment of the book, as it can also be read as a stand alone.  I will be going back to read the first two in the near future.

Other books in the series:
Book 1 With Strings Attached - Amazon
Book 2 How to Love Amazon
